The Weeping Woman Rock, or some times called Green Head, is located at the west side of Bunsby Island. This picture was taken from Lucy Paivio's place on the native reserve. Lucy's parents were the Tyee (head chief) of the Che:k:tles7et'h' nation. Lucy said all kayakers are welcome to drop in for a visit any time.

Seal Rock, or Double Rocks, is located about two miles southwest of Thomas Island.

Sea lions live on these rocks most of the year.

Tanner Jack, sitting on a beach on the Northwest side of Surprise Island.

These old pilings are a reminder of the many fish canneries we used to have on the coast. We also had a whaling station here in the early 1900's.

After a hot day paddling, kayakers stop off at Leo Jack's store for ice-cream cones.
