Native Arts & Crafts

Kyuquot is rich in Native First Nations Culture. Our elders are happy to meet visitors to the village and show you the work they do, carving cedar, making baskets and telling stories of their history and tradition.

Margaret Jack comes from Tyee (Head Chief) of Kyuquot. Although now a resident of Campbell River, Margaret lived in Kyuquot most of her life and comes from a long history of basket weavers including her mother.

For more information or to purchase baskets and bottles weaved with Cedar-bark and grass, call Margaret at (250) 286-9926 or email her at voyager@xplornet.com

We ship world-wide!

Come meet Sarah and Alex Short, our elders, and see the work they do with cedar-bark grass. Let them tell you about the history of Kyuquot. Meet some of our wood carvers who carve from red cedar. Donations are welcome for story telling.
